Not Where it Ends for Inger

A wonderful woman died recently of leukemia, her life cut way too short. Her name was Inger. I knew Inger years ago, but hadn’t seen her in awhile. Inger was generous, energetic, and lovely. She helped us move into our house. She unpacked the dishes and glasses, and placed them on their shelves. When Asia was born, she brought gifts, and on Asia’s first birthday, she celebrated with us. Inger loved us through her actions.

As a young girl, she started to follow Jesus, and she never stopped. Jesus wore off on her. And she wore off on others. Her obituary says, “There was a peaceful strength to her spirit that made her a rock to lean on. The legacy of Inger’s selfless giving, joyful serving, and fervently following Jesus Christ will always be remembered and admired.” There is no greater legacy than that.

But that’s not where it ends for Inger. She might have left this earth, but she’s not gone. She’s with Jesus now. Welcome home, Inger.
