“Look at the plank in your own eye.”

After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are his judgments.” (Revelation 19.1-2)

This world is a shadow of the one to come. Like all shadows, it reveals the Light.

There are rescues—chasms of despair interrupted by unexpected heroes. They foretell the Final Rescue by God.

There is glory—outpourings of essence and destiny mingled. They announce the Weighty Glory of God.

There is power—currents of change pushing forth and up and under. They notion the Awesome Power of God.

What is here and now points to what’s there and next. We foretaste one from the other, which is why we like to hear and tell of rescues and glory and power. We were made for such things, for the Light and even the shadows, which tell of such Light.

So next time your heart quickens at a hero who rescued, or your eyes gaze on a glory that shone, or your shoulders rise to a power that moved, it’s because God made you for such things, and such things belong to Him.

This world is meant to guide us to the next. But we must move beyond the shadows and embrace the Light, who is the One and Only, the Source and the Center, the Lion of Judah.

Oh shine Lion of Judah!

Pray that the shadows of this world guide us to Jesus, who is forever praised here and now and there and next.

Hello,
It was a privilege to share in this ” prayer ” time for Penn State. I know God made a difference for many during this time. My sister and her husband are Penn State grads back in 80’s. They dearly love Penn State and the Lions and the community. Our lives become connected ,,,, through prayer and for many
days beyond lives can be forever changed.

Nothing is too difficult for out God.
Great peace, hope, healing to Penn State and community.
God is working on your behalf.

Thank you so much for leading, Chris. The 40th day is not an end of prayer for Penn State to me, and I believe to others either. God is working always, His body—- the Church is being healed and is growing I believe. So are His servants. It is great to know you and to hear God’s voice through you! God bless you!
