“Look at the plank in your own eye.”
After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a great multitude in heaven shouting: “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God, for true and just are his judgments.” (Revelation 19.1-2)
Can you hear the holy roar? The crescendo of praise beating off the horizon, the waves of worship flinging off every surface, the notes that flower in the air? It’s the song of all time.
And it pours out from willful lips, from the great multitude. It’s a roar.
Little lions sound their little lion sounds, crafted from and grafted into the source and center: the Lion of Judah. Not little as in frail or small, but little as in secondary, made. They take their cues from the Great Lion. They know who they are.
Fierce, yes. Brave, yes. Determined, yes. Wild, yes. Just like the Lion.
But should they forget their humble place and eternal holy song, the Lion will remind them. He has a way of restoring them, of bringing the first things back to front, and the lesser things front to back. On Earth as it is in Heaven, in this realm and the next.
Oh restore us Lion of Judah!
