As the events unfold at Penn State, we believe God is saying important things.
The best hope for change is to agree with God by saying what He’s saying. The lion has fallen, and we are in free fall. But if we heed God’s words, a New Lion will arise in Lion Country.
With this goal, we created an email series called, “40 Days of Prayer for PSU.” It began as 30 days, but as it started, we felt like it deserved 40 days. On one of the days, we’ll explain why.
We’ll pray for the brokenhearted and the accused. We’ll pray for humility and self-reflection. We’ll pray for things to change.
Here’s how it will work. To join, subscribe below. To ensure you receive the prayer emails, make sure your email program does not block emails from cs (at) csheinz (dot) com. After you sign up, you should receive a Welcome email immediately. If you don’t, check your junk folder. If you find it in there, click “Not Junk”.
Also, a high number of Penn State email addresses are getting blocked. We recommend that you subscribe with a non-Penn State email address. Same goes with Comcast email addresses. If you don’t have another email address, then try it with what you have.
For 40 days, you’ll receive a daily email with a different prayer point, scripture, and short devotional. If you want to sync your 40 days with others, sign up on the same day.
The emails are based on, “The Lion Has Fallen: Four Things I Believe God Is Saying To Lion Country” and its prayer guide, “A New Lion Rising.” If you would like to pray the Bible verse in each email, here are some pointers on how to do that.
There are three supernatural results of saying what God is saying. The 40 Days of Prayer for PSU are part of a bigger story of what God is doing.
We are a ministry partner of Beyond the Silence, which is dedicated to telling the stories of the sexually abused and helping those in need.
